Struggle is a choice

Challenges are a part of life. It’s how you respond to challenges that determines your state of inner peace and wellbeing.

Oof! This is a DEEPLY layered topic! I have plans to record a podcast epi (and possibly even a course at some point) on healing addiction to the struggle because my goodness, has this been a major theme for me in my own journey.

But let me break it down as simply as I can, just for now:

  1. Challenges are a part of life. You can’t avoid them, at least not forever! But what you can do is choose the way you respond to the challenges you face.

  2. You can either fight and argue with your circumstances, and ultimately, suffer…or you can accept and take responsibility for your circumstances, and choose to empower yourself through making more aligned decisions starting NOW (moving out of victimhood mentality into self-empowerment — this deserves a series, all its own!)

  3. Making more aligned decisions does not have to be complicated. It’s all about bite-sized adjustments made in the micro-moments of each day — one minor attitude adjustment here, one small step forward there…that’s all you need to know right now. Then each next step will present as you begin taking inspired action and getting that momentum going (and feeling encouraged as you see your circumstances transform and reflect the positive shifts you’re making)

  4. Don’t make things better or worse than what they actually are. Create space to feel your human emotions with intention (frustration, anger, shame — all are welcome and 100% natural!) because when you get honest with yourself about the role you played in your circumstances, THAT’S when you take back your personal power. Then, look at the facts objectively. There’s a solution to every problem. You’ve got this.

You’re gonna slip. You’re gonna forget.

But it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making your best effort every single day.

If I can do this, I swear it, anyone can. 🌬🦋✨

With love,

Rachel
