If it comes, let it. If it goes, let it.
Witnessing the marriage of these two perfectly succinct phrases evokes in me a feeling of lightness, simplicity. Expanse.
It’s one of the many ways one might describe the energy of ‘flow’: allowing whatever enters your life to be seen and welcomed, and allowing whatever is leaving your life to be released. Again and again, like the infinite dance of sunrise, sunset.
When the sun rises each morning, we begin again. We do not know how our day will unfold, who we’ll meet, what obstacles we may face. We do not know what things will stay the same and what things might change forever. But we rise up out of our slumber, go out into the world, and we live.
And each evening as the sun descends and gently tucks itself beneath the horizon, we experience an ending. The gorgeous intelligence of our body signals us to lay down and rest our bones. For we’ve lived, and therefore are so worthy and deserving of repose.
We can know that just as the sun sets every night, it will without a doubt rise once again in the morning — pointing towards the synonymous, cyclical nature of endings and beginnings.
Though the way we experience each one feels different, they’re inherently connected in divine union; a reflective juxtaposition that, when felt into completely, has a comforting perfume to it. Just enough can be known, just enough remains a mystery.
Though this way of being — in flow — is simple, it’s not always easy. I won’t deny that it’s taken me many years to learn to trust in the changing seasons of life as I personally experience them.
There’s something about impermanence that encourages us to appreciate every single micro-moment. And through conscious awareness (being present) we can honor the fleeting nature of experience in a way that feels both warming, and unattached.
Because in truth, nothing is ever lost, only recycled and redistributed. And everything you could ever need at any time, is always available for you. 🧬
Infinite love,
Rach
